EverGreenPark Nupes

Dear Potential Sponsor:

The Robert L. Braswell Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) corporation, in conjunction with the Evergreen Park Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc on 12/08/2015. Our mission is to bring systemic changes to improve the outcomes and lives of the young and underserved, particularly in Chicago and its southern suburbs using community service programs such as, food distribution, domestic violence awareness training, financial literacy, mentoring as well as college scholarships to deserving high school students.

Jointly, we are planning The Annual Haywood Parrish Golf Scramble at Village Greens of Woodridge, 1575 West 75th Street, Woodridge, Illinois on Saturday July 29th, 2023. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success. In 2022, we were able to award $5000 in scholarships to college bound students. THANK YOU! We are excited about this year’s event and would love to have you join us. Come out, network, see old and make new friends!

This event is being held in honor of our dearly departed fraternity brother Haywood Parrish. He died of Pancreatic Cancer on March 18th of 2018. Pancreatic Cancer begins when abnormal cells in the pancreas, a gland located deep in the abdomen, grow and divide out of control and form a malignant tumor. Cancer can and often does spread to other tissues and organs (i.e. liver, abdominal walls, bones and/or lymph nodes). The American Cancer Society estimates that about 64,050 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2023. Approximately 50,550 of those will die from the disease. In Haywood’s memory, a portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer research.

Please join us in sponsoring the Haywood Parish Golf Scramble. We have many sponsorship levels available (please see attached document). Please respond no later than July 1stth, 2023.

Thanks for your consideration.
